Testimonials |
The Brunswick Inn was a highlight of our New
England trip. It gave me a great first impression
of bed and breakfasts. The innkeepers were so
hospitable; they had such wonderful
recommendations for activities and food. We've
already decided to stay there again.
If you are planning a trip to Maine, make sure you
make The Brunswick in part of your stay. You won't
regret it!Becky

"I travel often during the
year, and no place do I look more forward to
visiting than The Brunswick Inn. Eileen and her
family are adorable, and they treat me like a
cherished member of their family. I look
forward to making my way in the early morning
hours to that hot pot of coffee, pouring it into
a gleaming mug, and relaxing in the quiet dawn
before I go visit my Bowdoin College student
daughter. We've hosted college kids for a cozy
fall dinner in the dining room, lit by a blazing
fire: Eileen's chili and cornbread, followed by
enormous cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. I
couldn't design a nicer place to stay. It's
heaven."

As Bowdoin parents, we
stayed in several places in the area. Then we
found The Brunswick Inn. This is the best, for a
lot of reasons. Not only is it the nicest place
around, but it has the best location - closest to
the college. It's also walking distance to every
restaurant in town. We have stayed in several
different rooms and each is a little
different--not your cookie-cutter hotel rooms like
the ones off the highway! (We stayed in those,
before we found this gem.) Eileen is the most
welcoming innkeeper and makes you feel right at
home. She will try to help you with just about
anything and is especially good at restaurant
recommendations. Staying at The Brunswick Inn has
become an important part of every Bowdoin visit
for us. Don't even get me started about
breakfast...

The Brunswick Inn is
the perfect home away from home. The innkeepers
and staff are warm and welcoming. Once our son
graduates from Bowdoin College (which is within
walking distance) we will not have the need to
stay in Brunswick, but probably will stop at the
inn just to say hello. The rooms are well
appointed, grounds have ample parking and the
breakfast is full and varied. They are right on
the commons which has ice skating in the winter
and a farmers market the rest of the year. We have
never stayed anywhere else and do not plan to try
the adventure. We highly recommend it.

Friends and family
gathered at The Brunswick Inn for a wedding. Inn
owner Eileen and her extraordinary assistant,
Barbara, and staff made sure that our every need
was met, both for the festivities associated with
the wedding and our comfort in the exceptional
rooms of the main house and cottages. The garden
behind the inn was perfect for the ceremony. The
parlor, wine bar and breakfast areas of the inn
were transformed into dining, dancing and
socializing areas for the 50 guests. The following
morning, it was fabulous breakfast as usual with
attention to every guest. Brunswick is a perfect
New England town, it was our first visit. Walk to
the river, the swinging bridge, restaurants,
antique shops, flea market in converted town mill
buildings, or just kick back and enjoy the front
porch at the inn. The Brunswick Inn is across the
street from the Village Green, and walking
distance from Bowdoin College. We found Maine
hospitality at its best here.

We
have actually stayed at the inn about 4 times in
the last 6 months. The new inn keepers are warm
and hospitable, yet they understand the guest's
need for privacy. Each time we visited we stayed
in a different room. Each room was very
comfortable and very attractive. Very quiet. We
were cool in the heat of July, and we were snug
and warm this last November.
Brunswick has a choice of many great restaurants,
but we did like to stay at the Inn for a wonderful
breakfast. Our kids with hearty appetites had
plenty and the chef even accommodated me with
wheat-free offerings.
Another nice touch was having a glass of wine in
front of the roaring fireplace while great music
played in the background!
We have recommended this inn to our friends and
family. Now we thought we'd recommend it to
everyone!

As a Bowdoin parent, I
stayed in several area hotels and inns before
finding The Brunswick Inn. It is the best of all
worlds—extremely convenient, really friendly, and
very nice. It is part of every visit now. Our
Bowdoin student sometimes stays with us to get a
break from dorm life but ALWAYS joins us for the
great breakfast.

Our wedding weekend at
The Brunswick Inn was magical. The Inn provided
just the right ambience; elegance without
pretension, a charming and warm setting for such a
special event. Eileen and her staff provided
superb service, as if they were serving their own
families. Everyone said it was the best wedding
they had ever attended!
